Advice for All Ages

4 Life Lessons for Kids of All Ages--Proverbs

We often give good advice to our kids.

  • Say “thank you” and “please”
  • Share your toys
  • Pay attention

But we often need to take the same advice.

While Solomon wrote most of the book of Proverbs to pass along wisdom to his son, it’s a treasure chest of good advice for us still today, whether a child or an adult.

Here are 4 life lessons from Proverbs that are just as applicable for adults as they are for kids. Which one do you need the most?

Great points, Lisa. The one about taking shortcuts reminds me of how frustrated our son was with homework when I wouldn’t give him the answer but instead would lead him to find the answer himself, so he would better understand and remember it. He wasn’t very happy with me at the time, but years later he thanked me. 🙂 It makes me think of how I, too, want to take shortcuts. I want to know NOW answers from God instead of Him leading me through a more difficult way where I will actually learn deeper lessons that stick. Thank you for all this advice. Love and hugs to you!
